Our philosophy is that your ceremony should be an accurate reflection of your unique relationship, not just a generic script. We pride ourselves on performing services that are warm and personable. All of our couples are involved in the creation of their ceremony, to make it uniquely theirs.
Our officiants bring charisma and professionalism to each ceremony we perform. Whether your wedding is casual or sophisticated, a week away or a year away, your Divine Transformation Wedding Officiant will perform a joyful, heart-felt and memorable ceremony that fits your style.
We are licensed to perform marriages in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Virginia. If you are looking to get married in another state or at a destination location, please contact Rev. Laura directly.
We offer a free, no-obligation initial consultation via email or over the phone. This is a chance for you to ask any questions you may have for your officiant and about Divine Transformation wedding services. After the consultation you decide whether you would like us to officiate your wedding.
Each ceremony package includes:
• Planning Meeting – Your officiant will meet with you in person after you’ve submitted your contract and deposit. This gives all of us an opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level, and to design your ceremony! During this meeting we learn about your relationship and the details you feel are an important part of your ceremony. In this way we can learn about the uniqueness of your relationship so that we may personalize your ceremony. You may have special requests, need help writing vows, or want to choose from pre-written vows. We can help! If additional follow-up is necessary it will be free of charge and can be done via email or telephone.
• Ceremony Editing – After the planning meeting, your officiant will email you a draft of your ceremony. The two of you can sit down and edit your draft until it is the exact wedding ceremony you want. You then simply email your edited draft back to your officiant.
• Wedding Day! – We arrive in plenty of time to coordinate your attendants and honored guests and prepare for the processional. We are also experienced with working with your other wedding vendors to make your day flow smoothly. And YES, we do allow photographers to take pictures during our ceremonies. Believe it or not, some companies and officiants don’t! We will keep you calm, cool, and collected knowing that you are in capable hands and reminding you that you are about to wed your true love.
• Filing of the marriage license – Although the couple is responsible for securing the license prior to the wedding, your officiant takes care of completing your marriage license at the ceremony. We then file the license immediately following the ceremony with the county clerk’s office. We will also provide you with the your own copy of the license in case you need to take proof of marriage on your honeymoon (as some resorts require).
OPTIONAL SERVICES: You may choose to add Marriage Coaching with Rev. Laura C. Cannon (even if you have another officiant) to your wedding day package. Many couples choose to either purchase the Couples Coaching package or to purchase Rev. Laura’s e-book, The Marriage Manifesto, which takes couples through a process for consciously creating a successful and happy marriage. It also offers tips for writing your own vows.
